Grace Hopper 2010 Scholarships for Georgia Tech Students!

My fellow GT CoC girls, please apply!  This is an amazing opportunity and with the conference in Atlanta this year, I can guarantee *wink, wink * that this year’s conference will be special ;P.

A message from the Associate Dean of Undergraduate and Graduate Affairs:

“Dear Students,

Last week Dean Galil sent an email about the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing conference coming to Atlanta September 28-October 2, 2010. The College of Computing is a major sponsor again this year and we want as many of our outstanding Georgia Tech Women in Computing at the conference as possible, so we are offering 25-35 scholarships to our women students that will cover your attendance.

To apply, please fill out this application. The deadline is FRIDAY 9/3 and winners will be notified by TUESDAY 9/7.

Winners will be selected by a committee of faculty, staff and administrators. Anyone who applied to be a Hopper is still encouraged to apply for the College’s Scholarships. Those who are not selected will still be able to register at the early bird rate of $270.

If you haven’t been to Grace Hopper before, I highly encourage you to go. It’s an exciting few days of meeting other computing-folks-to-be such as yourselves from around the country, networking with major companies who are there to recruit you, and sharing your enthusiasm for computing with like-minded friends. Also this year, there will be a special treat spotlighting our own Georgia Tech Women in Computing on opening day. Stay tuned for more.

Good Luck!
Charles L. Isbell
Associate Dean, Undergraduate and Graduate Affairs”
